Lyn shared a programme called www.jibjab.com which has head shots of teachers superimposed on other bodies running around playing soccer. Fantastic fun for the children to use.
Annemarie suggested another fun website www.blabberize.com Good for children who need help with oral language. The children talk, but the sound comes out of a moving mouth (animal or people).
I had my second opportunity to use wireless. I was much more successful today!
Control panel, internet options, connections, LAN settings, replace the number with the supplier's numbers.
Important to write down the glenholme school numbers, before I put in the supplier's numbers, so that I can change the numbers back at the end of the session.
Press okay, then okay again. Right click on wireless on toolbar. View available wireless networks, click on the school who is providing wireless. Hit connect. Next go to internet explorer and type in www.google.com You will be asked for a username and password, this is supplied by the wireless school, type it in and I should be connected.
Lorraine ran the Literacy Alive Through eBooks
http://rellco.wikispaces.com/ then resources on left hand side of wiki, the books alive
This is an excellent literacy resource where the children can read stories interact with them, personalise stories, listen to and watch story videos.
Good tip: F11 displays a full screen view, type F11 again and it will revert back to the original screen
